A/B Testing
A method of comparing two versions of a webpage or app to determine which one performs better in terms of user engagement or conversion rates.
API (Application Programming Interface)
A set of rules, protocols, and tools that allows different software applications to communicate with each other and access shared functionality or data.
Accessibility
The practice of designing products and services that can be used by people with disabilities, ensuring equal access and usability for all users.
Advertising
Paid communication intended to promote or persuade an audience to take action, typically through channels such as print, broadcast, digital, or outdoor media.
Affordance
A visual or functional cue that suggests the possible actions users can take with an object or interface element.
Agile Development
A software development methodology characterized by iterative and incremental development, collaboration between cross-functional teams, and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
Algorithm
A step-by-step procedure or formula for solving a problem or accomplishing a task, often used in programming to perform calculations or data processing.
Back End
The part of a software system or application that is responsible for processing data, managing databases, and performing operations that are not directly visible to the user.
Brand
The perception or identity of a product, service, or organization as perceived by the audience. It encompasses various elements such as logo, name, design, and messaging.
Brand Ambassador
An individual or entity, often a celebrity or influencer, who represents and promotes a brand, embodying its values and messaging to endorse products or services.
Brand Architecture
The structure and relationship between different brands within a company's portfolio, including sub-brands, product lines, and endorsed brands.
Brand Awareness
The extent to which consumers are familiar with and recognize a brand, often measured by metrics such as recall and recognition.
Brand Equity
The commercial value derived from consumer perception of the brand name, logo, and associated assets.
Brand Experience

Brand Extension

Brand Identity

Brand Personality

Brand Positioning

Brand Promise

Brand Storytelling

Brand Strategy
A long-term plan outlining the brand's goals and how it will achieve them, including positioning, messaging, target audience, and competitive differentiation.
Code Review

Content Marketing

Continuous Integration (CI)

Front End
The part of a software system or application that the user interacts with directly, typically consisting of the user interface, design elements, and presentation layer.

Hero Image
A large, prominent image placed at the top of a webpage, typically used to grab attention and communicate a core message.
IDE (Integrated Development Environment)

Landing Page

Market Research
The systematic gathering, recording, and analysis of data related to customers, competitors, and market trends to inform marketing strategies, decision-making, and business planning.
Market Segmentation
Dividing a market into distinct groups of buyers who have different needs, characteristics, or behaviors, and who might require separate marketing strategies.
Marketing

Marketing Automation

Marketing Mix (4Ps)

Navigation

Onboarding
The guided experience that helps new users understand and start using a product or service effectively.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC)

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The process of optimizing a website or online content to improve its visibility and ranking in search engine results pages, thereby increasing organic (non-paid) traffic.
Target Market
The specific group of individuals or businesses toward which a marketing campaign or strategy is aimed, based on factors such as demographics, psychographics, and behavior.
Testing
The process of evaluating a software application or system to identify defects, bugs, or issues, ensuring that it meets specified requirements and functions correctly.
Usability
The extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction in a specified context of use.
User Experience (UX)

User Flow
The path that a user follows through a website or app to accomplish a particular task or goal.
User Interface (UI)
The visual elements and design of an interface through which users interact with a product or service.
User Persona
A fictional character created to represent the different types of users who might interact with a product, based on research and data.
User Research
The process of understanding the needs, behaviors, and preferences of users through various research methods such as interviews, surveys, and observations.
Version Control
The practice of tracking and managing changes to software code or files over time, allowing developers to collaborate, revert to previous versions, and maintain a history of changes.
Wireframe
A basic visual representation of the layout and structure of a web page or app, typically created to demonstrate the basic elements and functionality.
Z-Pattern Layout
A design principle based on the way people scan screens—mimicking the shape of the letter "Z" to prioritize key content placement.
